We lost a dear friend and one of the Jeep fishing gang on April 29. Dan Knott bravely struggled with cancer and died peacefully surrounded by his family early Sunday morning. He will be missed by so many . . .

Congratulations to William Phillips of Ann Arbor for winning the "Mill Creek Special" BHT bamboo fly rod package. The lucky ticket was pulled at the Ann Arbor Trout Unlimited 6th annual conservation banquet this past Thursday, April 12. All proceeds (Approx. $2,200) are being used to help fund the Mill Creek Restoration Project. See www.AnnArborTU.org for details of this project. Congratulations to Steve Skalnek of Lake Orion who won the 7'9" - 5wt. Classic series rod at the Anglers of the AuSable 25th. anniversary celebration on April 28th at the Otsego Club in Gaylord, Mi. Steve likes to fish the North Branch of the AuSable, a perfect home water for his new rod.
