8/0 Uni-Thread  - Black

4-6 Pheasant Tail Fibers

Body:

Fine Silver Holographic Tinsel  

Peacock Herl Zelon Dubbing (or real Herl)

Hackle:

Grey Partridge (soft hackle style)  

This fly goes both ways – swinging as a wet fly (tied as shown) or dead drifted – nymph style.  You may either clip the soft hackle or tie a short wing when going nymphing.  I also have had a lot o’ fun with the Copper version shown below.

Just substitute Copper Holographic Tinsel, Copper Bead and maybe go with a Brown Partridge wing feather for the hackle.
