The venerable Pheasant Tail nymph created by Frank Sawyer lives on. This particular version is tied with dyed Olive Pheasant Tail, employs a bead instead of the traditional Peacock Herl and a little bit of Flash for a wing case. Definitely one of the most popular Swimming Mayfly nymph imitations, often used as a Baetis nymph, you should reserve two rows in your nymph box for plenty of variations of this little fly.
