Emeril’s Creole Seasoning

AKA – Essence (Bam!)

 

 

Simply combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.  Store in an airtight container (like an old jelly jar) and keep it out in plain sight – ready at a moments notice.  This seasoning is mandatory when making Gumbo, but also works great as a dry rub on Steaks, Chicken or Ribs out on the Bar-B.  Try some Red Skin Potatoes brushed with a little melted butter, sprinkled with Essence and Parmigiano - Reggiano Cheese – a few minutes in the oven – finish under the broiler – WOW!

Ingredients

2 1/2  Tablespoons Paprika

1  Tablespoon Onion Powder

2  Tablespoons Coarse Salt

1  Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper

2  Tablespoons  Garlic Powder

1  Tablespoon Dried Leaf Oregano

1  Tablespoon Cracked Black Pepper

1  Tablespoon  Dried Thyme
