Another simple favorite from Grandma Rose - great for the Holidays, Trout Unlimited Chapter Meetings or any other special occasion (like Wednesday afternoons). Put everything except the Pecans and Crackers in a large mixing bowl - let it all set at room temp for an hour or so to soften things up and mix thoroughly. Drop the mix onto a sheet of aluminum foil, wrap it up and chill in the fridge for a couple hours to firm it up. Gently shape into a sphere-like shape (still in the foil to prevent gooey fingers), open up and press the chopped pecans onto the orb surface and you're done! Grab a gob, apply to your cracker and chow down. Goes well with Red Wine - maybe a Valpolichella, Canadian Beer, Dr. Pepper or just about anything else you have chillin' in the ice box. |
