Talk about understated!  The simple little Brassie has a long daunting history.   It seems hardly worth the effort to include it in this tome of fly patterns, it’s about as simple as it gets, but I wanted to make sure it was not forgotten.  I like the basic, traditional style shown above, but the possibilities are endless.  Body colors – Gold, Black, Green, Red – Bead Heads, Wings of Polypropylene, curved hooks, long hooks.  Let your imagination run wild – who knows ????
