You may consider this to be perverted, but the D.O.A. Cripple version of the Adams dry fly has proven itself to me all across the country.  The cripple profile seems to trigger strikes from many fish that just may a little tired of the standard fare that floats by all day long.  The reason that this is the first pattern on the site, is that on a lot of days – it’s the first fly on the tippet.  You can try different wing colors like dun, white, orange or chartreuse depending on the light conditions on the river.
