Ann Arbor Trout Unlimited Conservation Banquet - 2010

Another year - another party.  Our gala Conservation fundraiser happened last Thursday night so I thought I would share some of the evening and recognize some of the sponsors that I worked with.  Thanks Again to all of the sponsors that make this banquet so successful (we were able to raise a significant amount of $$$$ to help keep our fish and rivers happy)  So thanks again - sure hope to see you again next year!

Before the mayhem - the setup at Barton Hills Country Club.  All set for another great meal at an elegant setting with many good friends and generous supporters.

RIO Products and Dewitt Plastics teamed up for a very profitable raffle bucket.  Fantastic fly line and very classy Trout Unlimited Logo fly boxes were a big hit!

Right next door were a couple of beautiful Wheatley Fly Boxed from REC Components - Sorry I missed the photo, Dan but they were also a big hit!

Our friends from Cabela's in Dundee helped out with a very generous Gift Card and a neat collection of goodies.  I love the mini camp chair and the remote control lantern.  Thanks Steve!

Cabela's - Dundee, Michigan

Be sure to stop by and say Hello - Ann Arbor TU will be at Cabela's on April 17 & 18 at their Tri State Fishing Expo.
A Taste of Dundee.  When you're down here take the time to visit downtown - lot's of other places to go and things to do.

Affinity Spa Medica and Salon
Swan Creek Candle Company
Silver Bells Christmas Shoppe
Beef Jerky Unlimited
Spirit Ford
Guided Fishing Trips - that's what it's all about!  This year we had 20 trips donated from Montana, Florida, Arkansas and of course Michigan - both Up North for Trout, Steelhead & Carp as well as locally for our great Smallmouth fishing on the Huron.  Thanks to all of the Guides who pitched in and to my personal favorites

Cam Coffin and Geoff Unger out of Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, MT
Mark Hendricks out of Gates AuSable Lodge in Grayling
and Paul Christensen on the Huron here in Ann Arbor
Here come the peoples!  Already smiling and the wine has not started flowing yet.  John and Kelly are ready for a great night.

John Davis (in the colorful fishing shirt) owns Colton Bay Outfitters and is an outstanding supporter of our Chapter.  This year he again donated a $1,000 shopping spree in his shop full of Orvis, Filson, Patagonia, Simms and other fine products.

Thank You John & Colton Bay Outfitters

Amy & Stacy (can you tell they are sisters) working hard at the Ann Arbor T.U. Logowear table.  Many, many comments about the two cheerful, friendly and all around great young ladies taking care of business.
Thanks Again Ladies!
By the way - our log wear is supplied by Integrity Marketing Products in Garden City, MI.  They do a fantastic job of providing excellent merchandise, delivered on-time - all the time.  They also supplied the Water Bottles, Shopping Bags and Cork Screws that dressed the tables this year.  Nice job Dan & Stacie!

Everyone got a little help this year.  Personal water bottles, eco-friendly shopping bags and Outdoor Extreme natural laundry soap will help keep Mother Earth happy.  Painted Trout Bandanas, Engraved cork screws and Cabela's discount coupons also were a nice touch and will be put to good use.

The room is filling!  Thanks to all of the folks who joined us to help keep our fish & rivers happy

One last detail - a well earned Thank You to our V.P. & Banquet Chair Mike Mouradian (far right), Prize Committee Chair Tom Shope (second from right) as presented by our Chapter President Gary Slauter (far left) and your humble rodmaker taking up space in the middle.

I have failed to recognize many, many other sponsors, volunteers and chapter members who also gave generously and worked hard to make this event happen - so sorry about that but Thank You Very Much!  Visit the Ann Arbor TU website to links to all of our sponsors (work in process)
